RSQUARE Vietnam Makes Full-Scale Entry Into Vietnam’s Local Interior Business

Drawing on the know-how accumulated in Korea, RSQUARE Vietnam has provided corporate relocation and real estate consulting services. It has connected not only Korean companies but also global companies from Germany, China, and elsewhere with commercial facilities in Vietnam, including offices, factories, and warehouses.

RSQUARE Vietnam has now launched interior services. As in Korea, these cover all types of commercial facilities, including offices, hotels, commercial spaces, staff housing, factories, and warehouses. We spoke with Senior Manager Jung Young-su, who is working on the ground in Vietnam.

Q. Do you only do interiors for offices?

Senior Manager Jung Young-su (hereafter Jung): We can handle everything except projects that involve constructing a new building. Beyond offices, we can carry out interior construction, consulting, and support for all types of spaces, including hotels, retail, staff housing, factories, and warehouses.

Q. Is there an organization on site in Vietnam that manages and supervises projects directly?

Jung: Two staff members from headquarters have been dispatched to Vietnam. They will be involved in all of the commercial real estate interior projects that RSQUARE Vietnam undertakes. We are also actively hiring design and construction staff. We plan to fully establish the interior business division (design, construction, and project administration) within the first half of this year.

Q. What are RSQUARE Vietnam’s strengths compared with local competitors?

Jung: A major strength is that, thanks to the support of the headquarters of RSQUARE Design’s interior division in Korea, our operations are more stable than those of a stand-alone local entity in Vietnam. A Korean professional with extensive project experience is stationed in Vietnam, and we have the consulting skills to fully address clients’ needs.

In particular, because we can begin the interior work from the point of signing the property contract, we can work more efficiently than other companies. Coordination with the building side is smooth, so we can cut unnecessary lead time compared with competitors. We are also strong in maintenance, repair, and management after construction.

Q. Does RSQUARE Vietnam have its own design brand?

Jung: We don’t have a separate brand yet. We are handling client consultations through the RSQUARE Vietnam interior division. Recently, we won and carried out, as the sole contractor, an interior project for the Vietnam office of a major Korean IT company, and it is now in the final stage. Based on our know-how from Korea, we will achieve stable service and rapid growth at the same time.
