Lotte Center Hanoi (also known as Hanoi City Complex) is a Grade A mixed-use complex comprising offices, a shopping mall, a 5-star hotel, serviced apartments, and an observation deck, located at 54 Lieu Giai, Giang Vo Ward, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi. Developed by Lotte Group (South Korea) through its legal entity Lotte Coralis Vietnam Ltd., constructed by Lotte E&C with a total investment of USD 400 million. The building was inaugurated on September 2, 2014 – Vietnam’s National Day.
At 272 m and 65 above-ground floors, Lotte Center is the 3rd tallest building in Vietnam and 2nd tallest in Hanoi, with a GFA of 253,402 m². The tower was designed by CallisonRTKL (USA) and the podium interior by Benoy (UK) – two globally leading firms in their respective disciplines. The design concept draws inspiration from the Vietnamese áo dài, creating a signature curved façade facing Thu Le Park and West Lake. Lotte Center also pioneered a series of construction technologies in Vietnam: the first BRD system, double-layer Low-E glass, low-carbon concrete, super-delayed concrete, and the largest foundation in Vietnam at the time of construction.
Situated at the Lieu Giai – Dao Tan intersection in Ba Dinh District, the building is 50 m from the Japanese Embassy, 300 m from Thu Le Park, and 24 km from Noi Bai Airport. The surrounding area is concentrated with embassies of Australia, Japan, and numerous other nations, alongside a host of international corporate headquarters and major financial institutions.
